The IFA 2012 is being held from August 31st to September 5th in Berlin,Germany. During the fair,Sony released a new tablet named Xperia Tablet S. Same as the rumor,this device is equipped with Tegra 3 quadcore processor,9.4-inch IPS screen with 1280*800 resolution and runs Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. Sony also promised that they would upgrade the OS to Android 4.1(Jelly Bean) for the customized apps optimization.

In appearance,the Xperia Tablet S looks like a folded magazine with a metal made go-round. Equips with a 6,000mAh battery,it's able to promise 10 hours of runtime. The thickness is between 0.35-0.47 inches and weighs 1.26 pounds. It can also be used as IR remote control and digital album,let alone watching DVD on Xperia Tablet S.

Moreover,the Xperia Tablet S owns some special applications,such as a new apps called "Watch Now",which is able to watch live TV for users. A TV program option called "check into" helps users share their real-time opinions on Facebook or twitter. Besides,Sony adds a new "Guest Mode" which allows users to create customized configuration and forbid some kinds of apps.
The tablet will be launched formally on September 7th and it's available to pre-order now. The price is $400 for 16GB version,$500 for 32GB and $600 for 64GB. Assistant accessories for the tablet will be sell at the same time: a keyboard($100), a stand with HDMI output and USB adapter($100), a charging cradle($40) and a dock speaker($130).
